Welcome to Sun Valley Christian Church
We are a church that seeks to honor God, follow Jesus Christ, and live by the Spirit. We want to share with others the joy that we have found. We believe that working in groups is where we experience and give love, support, and care for each other. It is also where we witness spiritual transformation. No matter where your interests and talents lie, you will find opportunities to grow spiritually and to serve others.
My wife and I left a church last March that wasn’t fulfilling our spiritual needs and were searching for a home church that would. After visiting a number of church’s, Sun Valley was recommended to us by a member, so we thought we would give it a try. The very second we walked in, The Holy Spirit came upon us in the embodiment of the members who welcomed us with loving, open arms. The timely and heartfelt message was delivered from the soul of the pastor and was applicable to current situations in everyone’s life. To top everything off, the music and singing spoke to our hearts and souls, so much that it brought us to Holy tears. We thank the Lord for his timing in bringing us to Sun Valley where we have tremendous fellowship and an opportunity to grow not only as Christians, but to HAPPILY serve the community through the church. About two years ago, friends of mine invited me to join them one Sunday morning at Sun Valley. I had NO intention of becoming a regular at a church “all the way across town,” but before long I found myself happily drawn into the comfortable fold at Sun Valley—all the way across town. Big smiles and even some hugs greeted me at the door on day one. And despite my initial reticence and sporadic attendance in the coming weeks, my friends who introduced me to Sun Valley kept telling me: “Everyone asked about you this week…Where is your friend today?… Tell her we miss her.” And for the times I did attend, the smiles and unabashed warm hugs always greeted me as if I were a long-time friend. It’s hard to resist the pull into such an attentive family! We worship together, learn together, and we most certainly laugh together A LOT. We simply enjoy each other’s company, inside and outside of church, with a common goal of getting to know one another better as brothers and sisters in Christ, and ultimately striving to grow more in His likeness. I am blessed to be settled, once again, into a caring church family in these precarious times. Whether you are a seasoned Christian or a new believer, or someone who is curious to learn about the Christian faith, Sun Valley Christian Church has open doors and welcomes you in.
